This Privacy Policy explains what data BalloonAlerts collects, why it is collected, who can access it, and how it is stored and protected.

1. What Data We Collect

Data	Why it's collected
Phone number(s)	To place automated calls when a configured threshold is triggered (e.g. you've been away from Bee Swarm Simulator too long, or your Balloon Blessing timer is running low).
Roblox User ID	To monitor your in-game presence via the Roblox API and detect whether you are currently playing Bee Swarm Simulator.
Discord User ID	To associate your Discord account with your monitoring profile and determine your permission level (user / admin / owner).
Discord Channel ID	To send in-channel alert messages when a call is dispatched.
Alert thresholds & preferences	Your configured trigger values (e.g. how many minutes of inactivity before a call is made) so the monitor behaves according to your settings.
Last status / last blessing refresh timestamps	To calculate how long you've been away from the game or how much time remains on your Balloon Blessing, so alerts fire at the right moment.

2. Who Can See Your Phone Numbers

Phone numbers stored in your profile are only visible to:

Bot administrators (listed in Manage Permissions)
Discord users who have been granted the owner role on your account

Users with the user or admin role on your account cannot see your phone numbers. Numbers are masked or hidden in all Discord-facing interfaces for those roles.

3. How Data Is Stored

Your profile is stored as a JSON file on the server hosting the bot. Access to this file is restricted to the server operator (orange0513). No database is used — data lives only on the host machine.

Data is not encrypted at rest beyond the file-system permissions of the host server. Do not add phone numbers you would not trust to the service operator.

4. Third-Party Services

BalloonAlerts uses the following third-party services to operate:

Twilio — processes outbound phone calls and SMS messages. Twilio may retain call/message records in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely for the purpose of placing alerts.
Roblox API — queried periodically to check your online presence and friend status. No personal data is sent to Roblox beyond your public Roblox User ID.
Discord API — used to receive commands and send alert messages. No data is stored by Discord on our behalf beyond normal Discord platform operation.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is deleted (via the /user delete command by an administrator), your profile file is removed from the server and all associated data is permanently deleted.

To request deletion of your data, make a ticket on Discord.

6. Children's Privacy

BalloonAlerts is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use this service or provide any personal data.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
